Marshfield Silver Laces Figure Skating Club Registration Guide
Read Carefully to determine what you need to register for this season! If you need assistance, board members will be able to assist you with registration on September 21st at our Parent Meeting, stay tuned for time and details.
Step One - In order to skate with our club you need to have a Learn to Skate USA and/or a Full USFSA membership. Please read the membership information on the registration page carefully and add the appropriate memberships to your cart. Skaters in Snow Plow thru FreeSkate 6 must have a Learn to Skate USA membership. If a skater in Snow Plow thru Free Skate 6 will be part of a team, test with USFSA or compete at Badger State (or any other nonqualifying competition) they must also have a Full USFSA membership. If you already purchased your Learn to Skate USA membership or Full USFSA membership this past summer (July until now) skip this step and select your class registrations!
*Beyond the Basic skaters (above FS 6) also need to add the "Beyond the Basics Membership." This fulfills the $20 club administrative fee required by all MSLFSC members.
Step Two - Select the appropriate classes/sessions.

Learn to skate will be half hour group sessions once per week with a coach to teach skaters the different skills needed to pass the learn to skate levels with a test at the end of each session to see if the skater has passed to move into the next level for the next session. You can also opt to join our Junior Club, Sunshine Crew or Power & Edge Class - see details below.
Learn to Skate Option for high school skaters in Free Skate 1 or higher or ANY age skater in Free Skate 4-6
Skaters meeting one of these requirements may elect to forgo Learn to Skate group classes and continue to progress through LTS while working with a private coach as long as they meet the following expectations:
-
Sign up for a minimum of 2-45 minute private ice times per session for the entire season.
-
Register on our website for a LTS USA membership
-
Complete volunteer requirement
-
Skaters that elect this LTS option are still eligible to participate in the Ice Show and Features but must be registered by the deadline.
Junior Club ($90)
Junior Club is also held on Sunday evenings around the Learn to Skate Classes, see time information above. Junior Club is designed for skaters in Snow Plow 4 thru Basic 6 and provides an extra opportunity to work with a coach and continue to improve skills that are learned during the LTS classes. This extra ½ hour on ice will help skaters progress faster through Basic Skills. Junior Club is a one time fee and includes ice for Sessions 1 & Session 2.
