Marshfield Silver Laces Figure Skating Club Registration Guide

Read Carefully to determine what you need to register for this season! If you need assistance, board members will be able to assist you with registration on September 22nd at our Parent Meeting. Please see website for Parent Meeting times.

Step One - In order to skate with our club you need to have a Learn to Skate USA and/or a Full USFSA membership. Please read the membership information on the registration page carefully and add the appropriate memberships to your cart. Skaters in Snow Plow thru FreeSkate 6 must have a Learn to Skate USA membership. If a skater in Snow Plow thru Free Skate 6 will be part of a team, test with USFSA or compete at Badger State (or any other nonqualifying competition) they must also have a Full USFSA membership. If you already purchased your Learn to Skate USA membership or Full USFSA membership this past summer (July until now) skip this step and select your class registrations!

*Beyond the Basic skaters (above FS 6) also need to add the "Beyond the Basics Membership." This fulfills the $20 club administrative fee required by all MSLFSC members.

Step Two - Select the appropriate classes/sessions. 

Learn to Skate Classes and Junior Club will run from October 6th - January 19th

Session 1: Oct 6th - Nov 24th (8 lessons)

Session 2: Dec 1st - Jan 19th (8 lessons)

 

Sunshine Crew October 12th - January 18th

Session 1: Oct 6th - Nov 30th (8 lessons)

Session 2: Dec 7th - Jan 18th (7 lessons)

 

Learn to Skate Classes ($165)
Classes will be held on Sunday evenings from either 6:15 - 6:45 or 6:45 - 7:15. Class rosters and times will be emailed Sept 28th. *If your learn to skate group lesson is from 6:15-6:45, your junior club will be from 6:45-7:15 and vice versa. Learn to skate will be half hour group sessions once per week with a coach to teach skaters the different skills needed to pass the learn to skate levels with a test at the end of each session to see if the skater has passed to move into the next level for the next session. You can also opt to join our Junior Club or Sunshine Crew, see details below!
 

Junior Club ($90)

Junior Club is also held on Sunday evenings around the Learn to Skate Classes, see time information above. Junior Club is designed for skaters in Snow Plow 4 thru Basic 6 and provides an extra opportunity to work with a coach and continue to improve skills that are learned during the LTS classes. This extra ½ hour on ice will help skaters progress faster through Basic Skills. Junior Club is a one time fee and includes ice for Sessions 1 & Session 2 (Oct 6th-Jan19th).

Sunshine Crew

Sunshine Crew will be held on Saturday mornings from 7:00am-7:45am and is designed for skaters in Snow Plow 4 through Pre-Freeskate and provides an opportunity to work with a coach and continue to improve skills that are learned during the LTS classes. This extra 45 minutes on ice will help skaters progress faster through Basic Skills. Sunshine Crew sign up is per session, fees are as follows

Session 1 includes 8, 45 minute lessons = $120

Session 2 includes 7, 45 minute lessons = $105

If your skater would like to be in the Ice Show with Sunshine Crew they will have the option to be in an additional number. Details on Ice Show Session registration for Sunshine Crew will be availabe later this fall.

Ice Show Session will run January 26th - March 9th 

Lessons and practice for the ice show will remain on Sunday evenings with additional required technical and dress rehearsal the week before the Ice Show. Our Ice Show is scheduled for March 8th & 9th with two performances on each day. If you are not ready to sign up for the Ice Show just yet, that is ok! The last night to sign up for Ice Show or Feature is Sunday, Nov 3rd!

Ice Show ($145)

Ice Show is the annual event where your skater will get to show off skills they have learned in a group routine. The costume cost is included in the fee. 

 

Ice Show Feature ($50)

Ice Show Feature is an extra routine skaters can sign up for. Features include 1-4 skaters that will create their own performance with the assistance of an assigned coach. Costume fees are not included. To qualify a skater must be Free Skate 2 or higher as of the first Sunday in October. Features registration may reopen later in the season based on the number of registrations.
