Marshfield Silver Laces Figure Skating Club Registration Guide

Read Carefully to determine what you need to register for this season!

 

Step One - In order to skate with our club you need to have a USFSA membership. Please add a membership to your cart before selecting class options. If you already purchased your USFSA membership this past summer, skip this step and select your class registrations!

 

USFSA Basic Skills Membership 2023-2024 ($60)

Select the Basic Skills membership if you are only planning on taking group lessons,  getting extra coaching in junior club, and participating in our annual ice show. If you plan to skate with a private coach or utilize private ice in any capacity you need to select the full club membership. 

 

USFSA Full Membership 2023-2024 ($90)

Select a Full Membership if you plan to take lessons from a private coach, utilize private ice time in any capacity, test with USFSA or compete this season. 

 

USFSA Associate Membership 2023-2024 ($75)

Select Associate Membership if you are a Full Club member of another USFSA club and want to utilize MSL ice in any capacity.  Associate members are able to purchase private ice and are eligible to participate in the ice show

Step Two - Select the appropriate classes/sessions. 

Learn to Skate Classes and Junior Club will run from October 1st - January 21st

Session 1: Oct 1st - Nov 12th (7 lessons)

Session 2: Nov 19th - Jan 21st (8 lessons)

 

Classes will be held on Sunday evenings from either 6:15 - 6:45 or 6:45 - 7:15. Class rosters and times will be emailed Sept 28th. *If your learn to skate group lesson is from 6:15-6:45, your junior club will be from 6:45-7:15 and vice versa.

Learn to Skate Classes - First Year Skating ($125)

Select this class if you want to check us out...but don't want to commit with payment yet. No payments if you decide not to continue after week 2.  Learn to Skate will be half hour group sessions once per week with a coach to teach skaters the different skills needed to pass the learn to skate levels with a test at the end of each session to see if the skater has passed to move into the next level for the next session. You can also opt to join our Junior Club! See class time information above. 

 

Learn to Skate Classes ($145)

Select this class if you are a returning skater! Learn to skate will be half hour group sessions once per week with a coach to teach skaters the different skills needed to pass the learn to skate levels with a test at the end of each session to see if the skater has passed to move into the next level for the next session. You can also opt to join our Junior Club! See class time information above. 


 

Junior Club ($90)

Junior Club is also held on Sunday evenings around the Learn to Skate Classes, see time information above. Junior Club is designed for skaters in Basic Skills 1-6 and provides an extra opportunity to work with a coach and continue to improve skills that are learned during the LTS classes. This extra ½ hour on ice will help skaters progress faster through Basic Skills.

 

The Ice Show Session will run January 28th - March 3rd. 

Lessons and practice for the ice show will remain on Sunday evenings with additional required technical and dress rehearsal the week before the Ice Show. Our Ice Show is scheduled for March 2nd & 3rd and our theme is Glitz & Glam! If you are not ready to sign up for the Ice Show just yet, that is ok! The last night to sign up for Ice Show or Feature is Sunday, Nov 5th!

Ice Show ($150)

Ice Show is the annual event where your skater will get to show off skills they have learned in a group routine. The costume cost is included in the fee. 

 

Ice Show Feature ($35)

Ice Show Feature is an extra routine skaters can sign up for. Features include 1-4 skaters that will create their own performance with the assistance of an assigned coach. Costume fees are not included. To qualify a skater must be Free Skate 2 or higher as of the first Sunday in October. Features registration may reopen later in the season based on the number of registrations.
